In the beginning half of class, we focus on connecting the breath to the body. The latter half, we move into meditation, focusing on bringing our awareness to our mind and directing our attention inward. Gentle Flow with Lindsay Sundays, 10:15-11:15am Donation based, suggested donation $5-12 Gentle flow is the perfect class for all levels of yoga and all ages working on alignment and adjustments in poses. The slow pace is easy on the body and focuses on improving skills no matter where you are in your yoga journey. Props are available to assist you when needed.
Balanced by Nature All Levels with Heather Sundays, 2-3pm Donation Based, suggested donation $8-12 This class is named with the idea that we all have the innate ability to bring balance to our body, mind, and spirit. Each class begins with time to come into the present moment and connect inwardly, incorporating pranayama to oxygenate the body and bring calm and centered focus to the mind. It blends hatha poses with short holds, some variations, and vinyasa sequences, as well as a focus on core strength and alignment. Classes cycle through key areas of heart opening, forward bending, and hip opening sequences in order to address any bodily weaknesses in a balanced way. This class is suitable for all levels, as variations are offered from beginner to advanced. Being able to move from floor to standing postures with relative ease is recommended.
Restorative Yoga Nidra with Cecelia every 3rd Sunday, 4:30-5:45p $18 drop in This 75-minute class starts with gentle stretching, passive postures, and conscious breathing to release pent up tension and prepare the body for the practice of Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra (also known as Yogic Sleep) is a somatic meditation and a form of deep relaxation accessible to everyone. By systematically directing the awareness inward, the body is released into effortless rest while the conscious mind settles into a state between wakefulness and sleep. Yoga Nidra is a powerful stress reliever that increases dopamine levels in the brain. It’s a practice for anyone who needs to reduce stress and increase self-awareness.
Hatha Flow with Lindsay Monday, 6-7pm $12 drop in A slow, but invigorating class to help bring energy into your week by focusing on connecting breath to movement and providing whole body benefits through range of motion and light strength training. This class allows students to empty their minds and calm their bodies while strengthening intricate muscles. Hatha style allows students to relax into their evening and finish their day mindfully and with the energy we all crave. This class will leave you feeling rejuvenated and ready for the week ahead.
Yin Yoga Fusion with Vali Thursdays 4:30-5:30pm $12 drop in Yin is a slower paced yoga practice targeting joints, ligaments and fascia. Using bolsters, blankets, and blocks, Yin allows us to rest into poses held for 3-5 minutes promoting deep release and relaxation in the body, leading to improved range of motion and flexibility. Thai massage may be given to deepen the stretch and Hatha flow incorporated. Please inform your teacher of any injuries before class.
Little Bees Yoga with Dana One Friday a month, 5-6pm $12 drop in Join us for an hour of yoga through story! Using yoga and stories as a tool, we will explore different topics such as being brave, working hard, and dealing with frustration. Each themed class includes asana, games, and quiet time to help kids learn to regulate their feelings and find self expression through movement. Appropriate for ages 3-7. Kids must be comfortable being dropped off for an hour. We encourage parents to stay close by, hit happy hour at one of the nearby establishments, or relax in oak street plaza during the warmer months. We ask that you pay online in advance to help streamline the drop off process. This class holds poses for 3-5 minutes to release the fascia and stagnation in the connective tissues that create adhesions from daily posture or injury. Yin helps to loosen tight muscles and allows meditation while holding poses. It helps improves the flow of qi, the energy within us, through the meridian pathways of our bodies. Benefits range from improving organ health, immunity, emotional well-being, clarity of mind, and overall improved range of motion/flexibility within the body.
Rise and Align Vinyasa Flow with Khaira Saturdays 10-11am $12 drop in This energizing morning class is designed to help wake up the body and the mind. Each class focuses on the synchronization of the breath and the continuous flow of movement. We begin at a smooth pace, slowly bringing motion into the body. As we awaken, we pick up the pace and move through our vinyasa. We work with our breath and keep the pace steady, building strength in a mindful way. As we finish up, we will feel balanced, motivated, and ready for the day ahead. This class is suitable for all levels, and variations will be offered from beginner to advanced levels.
